My Top 10 YA Boys!

Here is a post I've been wanting to do for a while!

Theres are my top 10 boys from YA books/series!

10 - Elder from Across the Universe

Why?
He's wise, clever, witty, romantic and sweet. He also makes some bad decisions which, in the end make you like him a little bit more. I love how dedicated he was to Amy and well... SWOOON!

Quote:
"...So, I do what any reasonable person would do when faced with a crying girl.
I get the frex out of there."

9- Dexter from this Lullaby

Why?
Aside from being the funniest most entertaining guy in contemporary fiction, he may also be the kindest, most lovely, patient one. And the most endearing, gotta love a sweet, clumsy musician!

Quote:
"I am, of course, a rogue. A rapscallion. A musician. I would bring her nothing but poverty, shame, and bruised shins from my flailing limbs. She is the better for our parting."
John Miller pantomined stabbing himself in the heart. "Cold words, my squire."
"Huffah," Dexter agreed.

8- Zack from Jinx

Why?
I always had a crush on Zack. Not only is he lovely sweet and protective, he also has a cold side and likes to make fun of Jinx, and he just made me fall in love at first read.

Quote:
"I loved you way before you ever had a chance to put a spell on me. I loved you at 'I've never been to Long Island"

7- Lend from Paranormalcy

Why?
By now you've figured out that i like witty and kind, but Lend is also cute and lovely and it's too much to not fall in love with!

Quote:
"It ranks right up there with lockers. In fact, sometimes I put my license inside my locker, and it's so cool I worry that the whole thing might explode with the sheer coolness of it all."

6- Jace from Mortal Instruments

Why?
You probably wonder why I didn't rank Jace higher, considering he is a hot piece of meat, witty and lovely. Mainly because after CoFA he went waaaaay too emo for me, and he downgraded a few ranks... however he is still hot and I did used to have a thing for hot emo guys, so he gets 6th!

Quote:
"I was trained to be an evil mastermind from a young age. Pulling the wings off flies, poisoning the earth's water supply — I was covering that stuff in kindergarten. I guess we're all just lucky my father faked his own death before he got to the raping and pillaging part of my education, or no one would be safe."

5- Po from Graceling

Why?
Sexy, humble and actually weaker than his kick-ass girlfriend, this just makes him a whole lot more endearing.

Quote:
"And I suppose it never occurs to you to start small. If I told you my roof needed rebuilding, you'd start by knocking down the house."

4- Will from Avalon High

Why?
Since I was 13 when I first read this book, Will was the perfect sweet, nice, popular guy that every girl wants. That notion has not passed since, it doesn't hurt that he's the reincarnation of a legendary King as well...

Quote:
"Kings don't sneak"

3- Beck from The Demon Trapper's Daughter

Why?
Southern accent? Check. Hot buff body? Check. Totally dedicated to our Riley? Check!

Quote:
"Ya know I couldn't go there, not with your Daddy and me workin' together and ya only bein' fifteen and lookin' so fine and..." He faded out, his eyes riveted to the ground.

2- Brigan from Fire

Why?
Because who doesn't like a warrior prince who hates a girl then falls in love with her and goes against his own brother to protect her innocence?

Quote:
‘The moment I began to love you was the moment when you saw your fiddle smashed on the ground, and you turned away from me and cried against your horse. Your sadness is one of the things that makes you beautiful to me. Don’t you see that? I understand it. It makes my own sadness less frightening."

1- Valek from The Study Series

Why?
Valek may just have to be the worlds sexiest spy. Cruel, he does anything to keep his Yelena with him but in the end, he'd do anything for her! Love him so so much!

Quote:
"He made a weak attempt to look innocent, but I knew better.
"Should I guess how many concealed weapons you have or should I strip search you?"
"A strip search is the only way to be absolutely certain." Valek's deep blue eyes danced with delight."

  1. Valek is in my top ten list! And Jace! And Lend! I am not sure if the Study series technically counts as YA, but they are, in my humble opinion, three of the best fantasy novels ever written. Now I need to check out some of the other books on your list and see who else I can swoon over... :)

  2. OH MAN!

I love posts like this. (:

I agree with you on Jace & Dexter! (the characters from the books I've read only) Dexter is so adorable, and he reminds me of one of those dudes who like to rebel in class, but are very responsible at times. Like Puck in the Iron Fey series! And Jace...sigh, I prefer Will from the Infernal Devices, only because I feel he's less whinier than Jace, haha. Jace is sort of like a German Shepard, that is hard on the outside, soft on the inside.

Good job on this blog of yours also! (:

  3. Elder was a little boring and plain for me -_- But Lend was amazing! Thanks for sharing, great post! Don't be a stranger; stop by my blog and say hi! I'm not sure if we're fellow followers, but I follow you!

Looking forward to hearing back from you,
