The end of Unravelling had me in tears, it was so unbelievably heart-breaking and open ended and I was so unbelievably excited about reading Unbreakable just to see what happened to Ben and Janelle. I mean, I was barely bothered about anything else, I just wanted my Ben back!
Okay, so let me be honest here. I didn't really love Unbreakable as much as I loved Unravelling. It just didn't have the WOW factor that I'd loved in the first book and at times I felt like it really dragged and I was having to force myself through some parts. Not that I disliked this book, I really DID like it, but it was definitely quite a let-down since I had such high expectations.
Janelle was an awesome character in this book - head-strong but a little heartbroken and it came across in Norris' writing. I just didn't love Ben in this book, he became more likable as the book went on but when we first see him in this book his made a massive, stupid mistake that made me hate him for a while. As is the mark of Liz Norris, a very lovable character was killed off and I was actually in tears over that.
The end of this book was so perfect though, there are a few questions left open, but mostly it's all tied up pretty well, and I'm extremely content with how this duology ended.
Overall, despite not loving this as much as Unravelling, I did really enjoy the book. I feel that the pace was a little slow and some of the characters weren't as likable, but I still felt content at the end of the book and would still recommend this duology.
